Bus Services
“Shopping” Bus
There is a weekday “shopping bus” operating from the centre of the Village to Oxford City Centre. The bus route is operated by RH Transport Services of Witney and leaves Wytham at 09:33, arriving in Oxford’s Bonn Square at 10:06. The bus returns from Bonn Square, Oxford, at 12:23 and arriving in Wytham at 12:57 (information correct as of October 2004).
Regular Bus
There is also a regular bus service from Wolvercote (about a 1 mile walk from Wytham), operated by the Oxford Bus Company. The timetable is on the website.
Shops
Wytham Village Store
The Wytham Village Store supplies an excellent range of everyday items, as well as providing freshly baked bread and fresh sandwiches. In summer, the Store runs an excellent tea garden and runs the village Post Office.
Wolvercote
One mile to the north east of Wytham, Wolvercote village has a number of shops, including: general store, Post Office/newsagents and hot food take-away (fish and chips and Chinese).
Botley
One and a half miles to the South of Wytham, Botley has a small shopping centre which includes: Co-op Supermarket, butcher, Post Office, delicatessen, video store, Iceland, optician, car parts, cafes, hot food take away (fish and chips and Chinese), Indian restaurant, charity shops.
Newspapers
There is a delivery service for newspapers, within the Village. Ask at the Village Stores for details.
